Architecture d'Intèrieure

      Maison

Surface : 1120 m²

Set on a spectacular bluff overlooking the Roaring Fork River, the house is configured to maximize the dramatic views of Mt Sopris across the 15th green of the golf course. The structure is sculpted to carefully fit the contours of the landscape and the materials chosen further blend the house with the site. The clients desired a contemporary mountain house where the scale and materials would reflect the environment while the architecture would be characterized by clean lines. Reclaimed Douglas Fir, Arkansas Sandstone combined with butt-joined glass and clean detailing throughout establish the contemporary style. Several curves are introduced as secondary unifying sculptural elements. The bow shaped wall in the dining room mimics the bend in the river and the exterior stainless steel deck rails are subtly cambered. Expansive panes of butted glass allow for unobstructed views and a direct connection with the landscape.
